The CALOTEST® instrument
measures the thickness of coatings in a very short time (1-2 minutes). It
represents the ideal instrument for a quick and precise determination of
coating thickness. The CALOTEST® instrument is widely used for analysing
coatings with a thickness typically between 0.1 to 50 µm. Typical examples
include CVD, PVD, plasma spray coatings, anodic oxidation layers, surfaces
treated by ion sputtering or ion plating, chemical and galvanic deposits,
polymers, paints, and lacquers. |

The CALOWEAR instrument
can measure both the thickness and the intrinsic wear coefficient of
coatings. It allows the evaluation of the intrinsic wear coefficient, K, of
bulk materials. For a coated sample, the wear coefficients of both the
coating and the substrate can be determined. The CALOWEAR instrument
is widely used for analysing coatings with a thickness typically between 0.1
to 50 µm. Typical examples include CVD, PVD, plasma spray coatings, anodic
oxidation layers, surfaces treated by ion sputtering or ion plating,
chemical and galvanic deposits, polymers, paints, and
lacquers. |
