Rtec Instruments’ Vacuum Tribometer has a modular architecture and allows for tribological testing under vacuum conditions. Reaching vacuum levels down to 10E-7 mbar and able to fit sample sizes up to 100mm. The Tribometer uses ultra-low resolution force sensors and handles the highest speeds for testing. The interchangeable test modules allow for multiple tests on the same platform and the modules are easily exchanged using the fast-exchange.
The platform comes with a multi-functional X-Y stage and handles high precision Z stages to move the load cell. On top of XY stage it is possible to mount various modules.
