10 Nov WEBINAR | Correlative submicron IR and X-Ray fluorescence for molecular and elemental imaging of neurons
Groot-Ammers | November 8th, 2021
Please join Prof. Oxana Klementieva from Lund University as she talks about her recent publication on the use of correlative submicron IR (via O-PTIR) and synchrotron X-Ray fluorescence for molecular and elemental imaging of Alzheimer Disease model neurons respectively.
DATE & TIME
📆 Thursday, November 18th, 2021
🕔 11:00 – 12:00 (CET)
A summary of the webinar includes:
- Introduction to submicron IR with the breakthrough technique of O-PTIR and simultaneous Raman (IR+Raman) microscopy with application examples
- Combination of sub-micron IR and Synchrotron X-Ray Fluorescence for molecular and elemental imaging of neurons directly
- Results show that in primary AD-like neurons, iron cluster co-localise with amyloid-beta sheet protein structures and oxidised lipids
Dr. Mustafa Kansiz, Director of Product Management and Marketing at PSC, will present an initial overview of the technique with further life science (live cells, tissues and bacteria) application examples. We are proud to present this cutting-edge webinar.
