The TwinRoller Tribometer system studies traction, wear and rolling contact fatigue (RCF) under force and speed controlled conditions. Two rollers are driven by high torque servo controlled motors are rotated against each other. Lubricant is fed in the rolling contact, while measuring the applied load, rotation speed and torque. The force apply and rotary speed can be programmed by user to study preventing failure of components.
